چارسدہ کی تحصیل تنگی میں مشتعل ہجوم نے پولیس سٹیشن کو آگ لگادی۔ ہجوم پولیس سے ایک ملزم کی حوالگی کا مطالبہ کرتا رہا جس پر قرآن کو جلانے کا الزام لگایا گیا ہے، مذکورہ ملزم ذہنی طور پر ابنارمل بتایا جاتا ہے۔ پولیس نے ہجوم کو منتشر کرنے کیلئے ہوائی فائرنگ کی، لاٹھی چارج اور آنسو گیس کا استعمال کیا، مگر ہجوم پھر بھی قابو میں نہ آیا۔ پولیس نے ملزم کو مشتعل ہجوم سے بچانے کیلئے نامعلوم مقام پر منتقل کردیا ہے
