Video Link System has been launched at CM Sectt Peshawar. The K-P IT directorate installed this system with cost of Rs 35 million. The K-P Chief Minister Pervez Khattak formally inaugurated it by live video link conferencing with Commissioners of Kohat and Dera Ismail Khan simultaneously and apprised himself with the security arrangements of Muharram. He also passed on certain orders to them in this regard. Ashfaq Khan, Principal Secretary to CM, was also present on this occasion.
Initially the Video conferencing facility has been provided to CM Secretariat Peshawar, Cabinet Room Civil Sectt, Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary, Secretary P&D, Secretary Home & Tribal Affairs Department and all Divisional Commissioners wherein the Chief Minister could contact them all anytime with the additional facility of data transfer as well. The Deputy Commissioners throughout the province were also being linked with the system in the second phase.
Through this facility Chief Minister can chair meeting with all the authorities simultaneously, can share presentations and can transfer data or file works. The meeting proceedings can also be saved and can be viewed later. Bilal Jabbar, Director Information Technology K-P and Noor Sher Afridi, AD IT CM Sectt Peshawar, have pioneered this crucial project.
