PTI Stops Geo From Airing Khabarnaak with Reham Khan & Dummy of Imran Khan



LAHORE (Sarfraz Ali/Staff Report) – The Geo network will not broadcast a TV show featuring Reham Khan and an Imran Khan caricature, following immense pressure by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

Senior PTI leaders contacted the management of Khabarnaak about the recorded programme which was supposed to be aired on Thursday night, sources in Geo told Daily Pakistan.

“We are cancelling the show amid huge pressure from the PTI,” said the sources, adding that the TV channel will have to bear losses.

There was no comment from PTI spokesperson when asked about the issue.

Khabarnaak is an Urdu and Punjabi comedy television show hosted by Naeem Bukhari that airs at 11:05pm on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays on Geo News.

This week, a promo of the show was released showing Reham Khan sitting beside Mir Mohammad Ali mimicking Imran Khan.

Both shared jokes about their previous marriages and Imran Khan’s slogan of ‘Change’.


A satirical caricature of Imran Khan has been featured several times on the show, but this was supposed to be the first time the real Reham Khan would have participated.

A few weeks ago Reham had recorded a show with Amir Liaquat Hussain that was also barred from getting on-air.
