The terms of the package state that if the prisoners who fled from the DI Khan jail, return within 15 days and willingly surrender themselves into police custody, they won’t face a court case.
“If they return within 15 days, no action will be taken against them,” said Yasir Ali, Express News correspondent.
“If prisoners return after the stipulated 15 days, they will have terrorism clauses added to their case,” said Yasir.
As many as 248 prisoners had escaped as militants carrying heavy weapons stormed Dera Ismail Khan’s Central Jail on July29. At least nine people were killed including policemen. Six attackers were also reportedly killed.
