A journalist should never talk to victims and oppressed like that. Gharida Farooqi should put such questions to people in power. I felt ashamed as a journalist watching this cruelty of forcing a hapless victim to condemn some “terrorist organisations” the state has apparently failed to protect them from in their homes.
This lady journalist tried to put the life of an alleged victim of state terrorism in real danger by forcing her to condemn some non-state terrorists as well.
This interview reminds me of a journalist who was walking through a camp of Bosnian muslim women refugees and shouting “anybody raped and who can speak English pls.” This is a worst form of journalism confronting victims as if they were some government officials or politicians.

دھشت گردوں کی مذمت سیاستدانوں سے کرائی جاتی ہے نہ کہ اُن مظلوموں سے جنہیں ریاستی اور غیر ریاستی دونوں عناصر سے خطرہ ہوتا ہے اور انہیں اُن علاقوں میں لوٹنا ہوتا ہے جہاں ریاستی اور غیر ریاستی عناصر ملل کر انکی جان کے در پہ ہوتے ہیں،
جن صحافیوں کو ماہرنگ بلوچ کے جواب پر اعتراض ہے وہ خود بلوچستان جا کر ماہرنگ بلوچ کے علاقے میں رہ کر اُن بلوچ تنظیموں کی مذمت کر کے دکھائیں، بے شرمی کی بھی کوئی حد ہوتی ہے ویسے۔
سیاستدانوں اور طاقت ور ریاستی اہلکاروں سے کبھی لاپتہ افراد کے بارے میں جو سوال کرنے کی ہمت نہیں رکھتے وہ ان مظلوموں پر اپنی صحافت کا رعب ڈال کر فخر کرتے ہیں۔
