Facebook Down: Posts Not Working on Pages & Some Profiles

Posted By: Zameer Hassan, December 10, 2013 | 11:48:03

The ability for Facebook users to post to their timeline or to their facebook pages was down for many users of the social media service for more than an hour on Tuesday afternoon.

When an attempt is made to post something a message will appear that says "Could not post to Timeline" along with a line of text under that saying "The message could not be posted to this Timeline."

On Twitter, many users reported having the problems.

So, If you can't post to your Facebook page or profile, take a deep breath and relax. It's annoying, but it's not just you.

Reports have been coming in from around the country of posts not going up.

At that point, you're stuck. Not all pages and profiles are affected, but trying to share to an affected page doesn't work either.

So far, no reaction from Facebook. We'll keep you posted.
